The Kings Fund has published a review into Adult Social Care which outlines and analyses 20 key trends in adult social care in England over recent years.

There are several key themes which emerge:

  • The growth in support required by working-age adults
  • Underinvestment in preventative services
  • The tendency for indicators that relate to local authority spending to remain the same or decline while those driven by central government are more likely to increase.
