In May 2017 the 17th International Conference on Integrated Care was held in Dublin and this led to the IFIC (International Foundation for Integrated Care) Ireland Collaborative Centre being created with the aim of providing a platform for the exchange and development of integrated care policies and practice both in Ireland and internationally.

Last week 40 Irish health system leaders, including health, third sector, public and private sector and patient organisations met in Dublin at the inaugural meeting of the IFIC Ireland to discuss the way forward for Integrated care in Ireland.  The meeting discussed how a future integrated care system would look, the challenges it will present, and ways to tackle them.
