The Institute of Healthcare Management (IHM) has appointed Jill DeBene as its new and dedicated Chief Executive for the organisation with immediate effect.
Jill DeBene has been the vice-chair of the London & South East region of the IHM for several years and is delighted to accept the role in what is certain to be a period of exciting activity and progress for the Institute under new owners, the Academy of Fabulous Stuff Community Interest Company Ltd.
Commenting on her appointment, Jill said “The IHM is THE membership organisation for all managers in the health service and I am thrilled to be leading it. My priority is to engage with the membership to find out how they would wish me to shape the Institute in the future whilst also speaking up for members’ views in these challenging times for the NHS. Additionally, we will create a bold programme of events and workshops for members as well
as a range of educational programmes and skills development opportunities.”
Roy Lilley, a Director of the Academy of Fabulous Stuff, commented on Jill DeBene’s appointment as follows; “Jill is NHS through and through. The IHM is a great Institute and I know that, under her leadership, it will flourish and grow. Managers across the health service need a voice and the IHM will provide it. Jill’s appointment is the first in a series of important initiatives that will be presented to IHM members in the coming weeks.”
