INSTANT MESSAGING IN THE NHS – Addendum #1

Research from CommonTime  has demonstrated that  despite 43% of NHS staff declaring they use at least one consumer messaging app for work purposes, 58% of Trusts do not have a policy to discourage the use of these apps , nor d0 they provide an alternative messaging system – potentially placing them in breach of GDPR which puts responsibility for compliance upon the organisation rather than the individual.
