A one day masterclass with organisation health psychologist Dr Derek Mowbray
The “whole picture” of resilience is about the inter-connection between the working environment and the resilience of the individual.
This one day masterclass, which is also available as an in-house programme for senior teams, looks at the link between psychological wellbeing and performance and provides an overview of 4 aspects of resilience:
1. The role of leaders and managers in creating a resilient working environment
2. The role of managers in strengthening the resilience of their teams
3. The role of managers in strengthening the resilience of individuals
4. The role of individuals in strengthening their own personal resilience.
There are specific actions that both individuals and organisations can learn and apply to create a resilient environment and a resilient workforce which include:
a. preventing adversities in the workplace that cause individuals to call on their resilience unnecessarily;
b. supporting and helping people to strengthen their resilience for challenges in their work;
c. ensuring the workforce can sustain performance and resilience through challenging times.
Who should attend:
This masterclass is aimed at organisation development. It is suitable for OD specialists, leaders and managers, champions of wellbeing and performance, senior HR and L & D specialists.
