In Partnership with IMS Maxims
Prerana Issar was appointed as NHS England’s Chief People Officer in February 2019. Having previously worked for the United Nations across the world and, before that, for 15 years with Unilever, she is an experienced and capable HR leader with a clear understanding of how to apply her HR skills in very large organisations.
The big question is, where will she start with the NHS? Vacancies abound, people at every level are choosing to leave, there is a crisis in training numbers, a perceived culture of bullying appears to prevail in too many trusts and a comprehensive & coherent NHS workforce plan is needed more urgently than ever.
The importance of Prerana’s role is therefore enormous. Can she address the root causes? How will she engage with, for example, HEE and the health sector unions? What can she offer to reverse the exodus of experienced people?
This is a massively important HealthChat and Roy Lilley will be asking the difficult questions. Please book NOW for what is certain to be over-subscribed event by clicking here.
