Richard Beeken is CEO of Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust in the West Midlands, having been appointed to the role in early 2018. Previously with Wye Valley NHS Trust which he led out of special measures, Richard has enjoyed a number of other senior roles in the region during his career.
What is life like for a recently appointed CEO? What are the key pieces of advice he would pass on to anyone with aspirations of leadership in the NHS or social care? How do you juggle the often conflicting demands of patients, workforce, NHS central control and, of course, finance?
This should be a super event and Roy Lilley will be in the chair asking Richard the questions.
